About me

Everyone has their own path ...

We are all shaped and influenced by our experiences, desires and goals. I am no different.

The health issues I experienced as a child prevented me from living out my desire for movement. Whenever it was possible, I always sought to try out as many things as I could. The first thing that I became passionate about was dancing, which I did for 5 years, competing in Latin American and ballroom dancing. Looking back, this was also the time when I discovered that I see health and well-being as something that exists on multiple levels and that the (physical) body isn’t the most important part of it.

When I started college, I also took up training in martial arts. The latter had fascinated me since I was a child. Especially the mixture of inner and outer strength that one can manifest if you put enough energy into it. Yoga was then an extension or accumulation of my previous experiences. With it, different interests of mine came together: movement, inner and outer strength, health and holism.

When I started practicing Yoga more than 15 years ago, I never thought that it would become such a large part of my life. Something that started as a hobby, became a daily companion, in addition a focal point of my academic studies and lastly, or maybe from the beginning, my calling.
